Given the diagnosis of a lifelong chronic illness at a very young age, existential questions begin early. The romantic family experience is uprooted. The repeated hospital visits or stays for all children with chronic illnesses can degrade one’s self to find their identity.  Issues with finding faith in one entity become confusing.
